Merlot 2018

Merlot 2018
Wine description & food pairing:

A wine of deep, ruby red colour. The twist in the glass stops quickly, we observe a thick edge and slowly slipping tears along the walls of the glass.

The aromas are intense, with notes of black cherry, mulberry and plum. Hibiscus is intertwined with a note of laurel, followed by notes of vanilla, butter and caramel, reminiscent of cherry tart. Finally, we perceive scents of chocolate, carob, with notes of cedar, eucalyptus and smoke.

The taste is markedly rounded. The wine is dry, soft and fairly warm. At the same time, it refreshes us, has a mineral touch leaving it to astringent tannins, that act silky but still virtuous. All this indicating its long life ahead. A Merlot with intense taste of lasting persistence revealing its accentuated elegance. Full-bodied, revealing flavours of ripe fruit, herbs, sweet spices and smoke.

A harmonious representative of the variety, which can be served with matured meat steaks, roasted legs, as well as sophisticated venison dishes.
